Breastfeeding Support
When I was a young mother, we had our first three children pretty close together with a bit more distance with our number 4 caboos. Those early years of parenthood felt like a dream…I mean the don’t know if you are awake or asleep type dream. With breastfeeding challenges and feedings through the night, feeling stranded at home and scared to pack up the whole house for an outing, and wondering if I was doing everything just right. I look back with a smile. It seems so silly now, but my children are all still alive. Some how I survived, they survived, and everything worked out. I give all this credit to my support system. Soon after I started my family my younger siblings started their own families. We would often get together and take the babies for walks, plan outings to the park, or laugh over deilicious family cooked meals. This is how I survived. They were my support system when things felt like too much! I hope that we can all create a breastfeeding support system with those around us in the same stages of life. Love, Laughter, and Support can make all difference!
